Reached out to Los Angeles Times prep athletics reporter Eric Sondheimer recently regarding the status of onetime San Jose State University commit Devenir Duruisseau and he offered that the young man is still undecided.
Wow. Especially at this point.
Some teams have filled their quota and simply don't have further scholarships to offer, possibly including location this young man might wish to land. So limitations are in place. Plus, it's now a matter of signing not a national letter of intent but a financial agreement, which isn't binding meaning no permission is needed from the school in order to transfer elsewhere and be on scholarship.
Sure would like to see Duruisseau land at Washington Square since another big is needed but he would first and somehow need to demonstrate that he's all in.
