Basor walking on

Yasmine Mahmoud breaks the news that 6-foot-8 Monterey Peninsula College frontcourter Ivo Basor is transferring to San Jose State University as a junior. He will walk-on to the basketball team.

Basor didn't play much for MPC this past season but has demonstrated a degree of a face-the-basket offensive game. He is strong and filled out but lacks explosiveness and maneuverability which limits his back-to-the-basket contributions, rebounding and defensive effectiveness. On the good citizen scale, he's a wonderful young man.
