In the heart of Raisinville, Fresno State downed San Jose State University 84-71 as there was no stopping guard Marvelle Harris who scored 34 points. The Bulldogs hoisted 46 free throws to just 15 for the Spartans and owned a 35-8 point differential at the line. Harris shot 15 times from the charity stripe.
Aided by 5-11 shooting from long distance, freshman forward Ryan Welage concluded the game with 28 points. Fellow frosh 6-foot-7 Brandon Clarke enjoyed another solid game via a 14 point, 12 rebound double-double accomplished in 21 minutes.
However, Frank Rogers scored just four points and Princeton Onwas went scoreless.
